Il permet d&rsquo;\u00e9valuer les actions d&rsquo;une IA et de la guider vers l&rsquo;objectif souhait\u00e9. Qu&rsquo;est-ce que reward model ? C&rsquo;est une fonction qui attribue une \u00ab\u00a0r\u00e9compense\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 chaque action d&rsquo;une IA, permettant ainsi d&rsquo;apprendre par essais et erreurs.<\/p>\n<h3>Comment fonctionne un reward model ?<\/h3>\n<p>Un reward model fonctionne comme un syst\u00e8me de notation. Imaginez un chien que vous dressez\u00a0: chaque fois qu&rsquo;il ob\u00e9it \u00e0 une commande, vous lui donnez une friandise (r\u00e9compense positive).  \u00c0 l&rsquo;inverse, s&rsquo;il fait une b\u00eatise, vous lui dites \u00ab\u00a0non\u00a0\u00bb (r\u00e9compense n\u00e9gative ou absence de r\u00e9compense).  Le reward model fait la m\u00eame chose avec l&rsquo;IA\u00a0: il lui attribue un score (la r\u00e9compense) pour chaque action. L&rsquo;IA cherche ensuite \u00e0 maximiser sa r\u00e9compense cumulative au fil du temps. Plus le score est \u00e9lev\u00e9, plus l&rsquo;action est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme bonne.  Ce syst\u00e8me permet \u00e0 l&rsquo;IA d&rsquo;apprendre progressivement les meilleures strat\u00e9gies pour atteindre un objectif donn\u00e9, sans qu&rsquo;on lui dise explicitement comment faire.<\/p>\n<h3>Pourquoi reward model est-il important\u00a0?<\/h3>\n<p>Le reward model est crucial car il d\u00e9finit le but et oriente l&rsquo;apprentissage de l&rsquo;IA.  Un reward model bien con\u00e7u permet d&rsquo;obtenir une IA performante et align\u00e9e avec les objectifs souhait\u00e9s. En prompt engineering, le reward model est particuli\u00e8rement important pour affiner les r\u00e9ponses d&rsquo;un mod\u00e8le de langage.  Par exemple, si vous voulez un mod\u00e8le qui g\u00e9n\u00e8re des po\u00e8mes, le reward model pourrait r\u00e9compenser la cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9, la rime et le respect du m\u00e8tre.
